TRAINING OVER THE PAST YEAR HAS BEEN DIFFERENT TO SAY THE LEAST, HOWEVER WE'VE MADE THE MOST OF THE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE.
THE TEAMS HAVE CONTINUED TO TRAIN EVERY SATURDAY MORNING (BALL SKILLS AND DRILLS) AND ON THURSDAY EVENINGS (FITNESS TRAINING) ALL OVER ZOOM. WE'VE EVEN SEEN PARENTS AND SIBLINGS JOINING IN AND HAVE HAD OVER 100 PEOPLE ON SOME SESSIONS.
WE FEATURED ON THE BBC NEWS AS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW YOUTH SPORTS HAVE COPED WITH THE LOCKDOWNS, AND OF COURSE, WE'VE TAKEN EVERY OPPORTUNITY IN BETWEEN LOCKDOWNS TO GET BACK ON COURT FOR ADAPTED TRAINING SESSIONS AND EVEN MATCHES.
WE WERE EVEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO RUN OUR USUAL EASTER CAMP DURING THE EARLY STAGE OF LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS EASING.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO INDOOR NETBALL AS SOON AS WE CAN AND IN THE MEANTIME WILL CONTINUE TRAINING IN LINE WITH THE MODIFIED RULES, GUIDANCE FROM ENGLAND NETBALL, AND OUR OWN COVID SAFETY PLAN.
